Running through the latest report for the 2021 peanut crop, USDA notes production was at 6.4 billion pounds, which is up 2 percent from the previous forecast and nearly 4 percent higher than the 2020 crop. Tyron Spearman reports the upward revision more than offsets the 70,000-acre decline in harvested acreage.
